I am frequently asked why I listen to very little “Christian music” — this discussion from a past Ligonier Conference answers the question well. I echo MacArthur’s comments x’s 1000! Amen.

Amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen, amen (Sorry, I started to sound like a modern praise-chorus).
Hahaha…. nice.
Thank you, Nick. I’ve always thought this way, but now it might be attributed to my age. Fact is, music either carries weight or it doesn’t; it’s not a matter of one’s age, unless by that you mean “spiritual” age. God bless you! Oh, and it was great to hear these guys recommend Carl Trueman’s article, “What Can Miserable Christians Sing?” found in “The Wages of Spin.” It’s spot-on.
